Haven't written anything personal online or on a piece of paper in a long time. Its almost like I'm too scared to share my thoughts with myself anymore. I remember the days I couldn't wait to write in my journal....right before bed, in between classes, on the bus 45 minutes to my shitty ass part time job at the mall or when I was feeling hurt and confused. The days I had no religion, no romance, no extraordinary life...my pen was my therapy. It kept me strong, hopeful, optimistic and most importantly it kept me dreaming.
Not too long ago I came across my old journal. It was really crazy reading it ... I'm really proud of my growth as a person. Some things I laughed at thinking Jesus Dionne was it that bad. Umm Maybe I was a little mellow dramatic or maybe at the time I was just so overwhelmed with a million emotions. These days I tend to just ignore shit or block it out even if it stings a little. I don't even bother writing it down.. I try sometimes but I end up wasting a paper or just closing my laptop.
Therapy has turned into 30 minute phone convos with friends who listen but really dont give a shit because they have their own issues to deal with. Still we continue to take turns listening to each others stories but its not the same and I just want back what my pen and I had.

little miss city update
Hey All
wow totally embarrassed.... haven't posted on this site in a while (blame social media for making me lazy) but if you are a fan on Facebook or follow me on twitter you are lucky enough to get some updates about me n my random adventures. I'm currently living that Carrie Bradshaw life one coupon at a time....dead serious. Its my last year in my twenties so I'm trying to go out with a bang! Chasing my dream in the city is soo exciting but also a huge sacrifice because at the end of the day everyone wants to know WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU AND WHAT MAKES YOU SO FUCKING SPECIAL!!! Yeah the disappointments exist but there is really no time for woulda coulda shouldas you just gotta be ready for the next opportunity.
Anyways so when I'm not hopping from cab to subway, responding to a thousand event emails, stuffing my face with some Thai drunken noodles, sipping free vodka on some rooftop with Orgasmic views of the city.....I'm with him. Yeah I'm seeing someone...he's awesome! *insert cheesy smile*
So I'm working on creating an events site little miss city (currently under construction), updating little miss limelight more because there are some crazy stuff that happens to me in the city that you wouldn't believe. Also plan to write some non city stuff too...someone said to me that they missed my old emotional blogs :'( me too

THIS IS GOING TO SOUND FRUGAL BUT I BUY EXPENSIVE MASCARA TO GET THE BRUSH (b/c that's what actually creates the effects) AND ONCE THE TUBE IS FINISH, I BUY A CHEAPER CVS BRAND LIKE MAYBELINE AND USE THEIR TUBE WITH THE EXPENSIVE BRUSH. THIS EXPLAINS WHY I WALK AROUND WITH THE CLINQUE LENGTHENING LOOK AND DIOR SHOW LOOK. hehe *POW!*

GYM FLOW: Pounds away from Success!!
320lbs....I don't think I've told anyone the actual number until now. Yes Thats how much I weighed last summer (the photos above). Somewhere between high self esteem and denial was me! I told myself I was happy and would love me no matter what but in the back of my mind I knew I needed to take control of my health. I hadn't been to the gym in months,the majority of my fruit servings came in the bottom of a glass filled with sangria and my favorite jeans were on life support from all the stretching.
Honestly at the time work and personal issues had me so stressed out and I realized I was gaining weight rapidly. I took a trip to the doctor and told him my concerns. He then put me on a strict diet and provided me with a list of what I could eat. After the first week I was sick of eating salad with no blue cheese ,no croutons,and no craisans. BORING!!!! Tempted to cheat but I remained focused for weeks! I dusted off my gym card and sneakers and started doing some serious cardio OMG I love the elliptical machine. I had tons of energy and I was loving the results.

Designer Spotlight: Nneka Saran
Back in the prehistoric Myspace ages I came across a page filled with some of the cutest eye catching clutches from an up and coming handbag designer Nneka Hurley now known as Nneka Saran. Her page had pictures of celebrities such as Eve, Vivica Fox, Keyshia Cole and the one and only June Ambrose rocking her handmade one of kind creations. As an accessory junkie and avid party girl I had to have one or two for myself! Every time I went out I would get so many compliments which often sparked conversations in the ladies bathroom while reapplying my lipgloss. Is that Gucci? Betsey Johnson ? I would reply Nneka Saran and everyone would always say "WHO"??
So now let me introduce you to Mrs. Nneka Saran Mosely.

I"m loving tribal prints & mixing bold colors right now
2. Where do you get your inspiration for each collection?
I draw inspiration from everything...people, life, etc. But I really get inspiration from fabric ...when I go into a fabric store, my mind just starts churning with ideas. I love color and I love funky prints!
3. You just had a trunk show in Atlanta how was the turnout?
The ATL show was great. I had a good turnout and sold a good amount of bags. I have been having a blast traveling around with my trunk show!
4.What are some of your favorite fashion blogs?

5.What celebrity would you like to see wearing your bags/clutches?
I would love to have Rihanna wear one of my clutches
6.Being a newly wed how do you balance time between work and spending time with your husband?
Time management is one of the biggest challenges because there is always so much to do and it just never seems like there is enough time. Not to mention, my husband works full time and is also an author & speaker on the side so we both work really long hours. Even though we are generally burning the midnight oil working on different things, we make sure to make spending quality time together a priority.
7. What's the biggest obstacle you face as an up and coming designer?
The biggest obstacle is brand awareness....getting more exposure and getting my name and product out there.
8.When did you realize you wanted create Nneka Saran handbags full time?I knew for awhile that I wanted to do Nneka Saran full time, I just didn't think it would happen anytime soon. I had a great job but I I just didn't enjoy doing it anymore. Each day, it ate at me more and more. Then an opportunity presented itself which allowed me to step out on faith and pursue my passion
9.You do interior decorating as well ...is that something you always wanted to do?
I LOVE decorating. I have always to see how a room can be changed to create a completely different look. I even contemplated going to school for it at one time.
10.what is next for nneka saran?
Currently, I do mostly clutches ..in the future, I plan to expand my line to more styles and down the road I would love to get into luggage and home decor.
11.Who are some of your favorite designer bags?
My fav designer bags are Marc Jacobs, Gucci, and I love Henri Bendel bags.
